Suwanee

Suwanee, located about 30 miles north of Atlanta, is a town in Northeast Gwinnett County with a population of over 19,000. Suwanee has won awards for its family-oriented environment and safety. Suwanee was voted the third best place in all of America to raise a family by Kiplinger, and was recognized by Money Magazine as one of the country's best small communities in which to live.

Like many Gwinnett County communities, Suwanee began as a small agricultural town with strong ties to the railroad. Today, the City works hard to retain its charm and sense of neighborliness and to manage growth in smart, innovative ways.

Attractions

Suwanee is well-known around the region for its distinctive parks, crowd-pleasing events, and high-quality mixed-use developments. Suwanee has more than 500 acres of parkland and miles of walking and biking trails, much of which was preserved and created by the City of Suwanee through a voter-approved, award-winning open space initiative. There's always something interesting happening in the Suwanee Town Centre; a great park with art, shops, restaurants, concerts, a fountain, and more!
